Texas soccer ties No. 8 Tennessee in SEC home opener

Texas women's soccer played to a 2-2 tie against No. 8 Tennessee in their SEC home opener on September 18 at Mike A. Myers Field. Texas initially took a 2-1 lead with goals from Mya Brandon and Ashlyn Anderson, but a second-half equalizer from Kylee Simmons leveled the match. A red card issued to Texas in the 69th minute left them with ten players, forcing them to defend for the tie. The game drew a crowd of 1,898, the largest since a 2024 NCAA Tournament match. Texas will next play Florida in Gainesville on September 24.
