Texas State Bobcats introduced as latest Pac-12 addition

The Texas State Bobcats, based in San Marcos, Texas, have joined the Pac-12 Conference. The university, founded in 1899, has recently transitioned to playing football at the FBS level. Previously known as Southwest Texas State Normal School, Texas State became an FBS program around the same time it adopted its current name. The Bobcats have a rich history, including numerous conference titles and national championships during their time in Division II.
