Texas Tanner wins discus at USATF Outdoor Championships

Texas Tanner, a recent graduate of the Air Force Academy, captured his first national title in discus throw at the USATF Outdoor and Para Championships held on July 25. Tanner's winning throw reached 65.46 meters, which was over a meter and a half ahead of his closest competitor. The victory comes shortly after Tanner's final competition with the Falcons, where he distinguished himself as a two-time All-American and the holder of school records in both discus and hammer throw. Following this championship win, Tanner continues to build on an already impressive collegiate career, which includes being named the 2025 Mountain West Outdoor Athlete of the Year.
