Texas Tech commit Jalen Brewster clears eligibility requirements for Buford high school

Buford defensive lineman Jalen Brewster has been ruled eligible to compete following a two-week administrative delay. The Texas Tech commit transferred to the Georgia program from Cedar Hill in Texas but had not submitted the necessary GHSA documentation in time for earlier matchups. Buford remained undefeated during the senior's absence, securing a 41-7 victory against Mallard Creek last week. Brewster now enters the active roster for the school's upcoming interstate contest against Miami Central. The game is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 10. Brewster is recognized as a top-ranked prospect and committed to Texas Tech last October.
