Texas Tech edge rushers remain unavailable for the game against Oregon State

Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire confirmed Monday that the team will be without edge rusher Trey White for the upcoming Week 2 game against Oregon State. White remains sidelined due to a knee injury suffered during preseason camp and is currently considered week-to-week. The coaching staff hopes to have him available for the Week 3 matchup against Houston. Meanwhile, freshman edge rusher LaDamion Guyton is expected to make his debut against Oregon State after missing the opener against Abilene Christian with a back issue. In other roster news, starting safety Brenden Jordan will not play as he completes a two-game suspension for a violation of team rules. The team continues to navigate personnel absences as it prepares for the road game in Oregon.
