The Athletic predicts Saints offense to break out in 2026

The Athletic has identified the New Orleans Saints as one of five NFL offenses poised for breakout success in the 2026 season. Under the leadership of second-year quarterback Tyler Shough, who was a finalist for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, the Saints have made significant improvements to their offensive line. They added talented tackles Kelvin Banks Jr. and Taliese Fuaga through the draft and signed guard David Edwards in free agency. Additionally, first-round draft pick Jordyn Tyson, a wide receiver from Arizona State, joins a receiving corps led by Chris Olave. Despite lacking superstars at every position, the Saints are expected to see improvements offensive production if their revamped line performs and Shough continues his development.
