The Hundred runs officially count towards T20 career statistics

Summary

The runs scored in The Hundred format are recognized as part of a player's T20 career statistics. This classification has been in effect since the tournament's debut in 2021. Jos Buttler's recent achievement of becoming men's cricket's leading T20 run-scorer drew attention to this rule. The ICC classifies both men's and women's competitions as official List A T20 matches, aligning with traditional T20 cricket structures. David Kendix, president of the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians, explained that folding Hundred stats into existing T20 records provides consistency across cricket’s statistical history.
