The New York Giants release wide receiver Jalin Hyatt

The New York Giants released wide receiver Jalin Hyatt on Sunday after three seasons with the franchise. A 2023 third-round draft pick, Hyatt recorded 36 receptions for 470 yards during his tenure and did not score a touchdown. The team opted to move on following a crowded offseason that included the signing of several wide receivers, including the return of Odell Beckham Jr. This release makes the No. 13 jersey number available for Odell Beckham Jr. to wear during the upcoming season. The Giants previously bolstered their receiving corps by adding Malachi Fields in the third round of the NFL Draft and signing various free agents. Hyatt was in the final year of a four-year, $5.62 million rookie contract at the time of his departure.
