The Orlando Magic signed point guard JD Davison ahead of the 2026-27 season. Davison joins the roster after being waived by the Houston Rockets in August. The 2022 NBA Draft selection previously spent three seasons with the Boston Celtics before appearing in 28 games for Houston last year. During his time with the Rockets, he averaged 2.5 points, 1.3 assists, and 1.2 rebounds across 7.8 minutes per game. The terms of the new agreement with Orlando have not been disclosed by the team.
