The Women’s Super League launches an official fantasy football game

The Women’s Super League (WSL) introduced its first official fantasy game on August 19, ahead of the 2026-27 season. Developed in partnership with Sportz Interactive, the platform allows users to build teams based on the real-life performances of WSL players. League officials conducted research with approximately 7,000 fans in December 2025 to determine interest in a points-based, season-long format. The official release replaces the unofficial Aerial Fantasy game, which ceased operations at the end of last season after three years of service. While some fans have expressed disappointment over the transition, others have already begun organizing leagues to facilitate competition among social groups as the new season begins.
