Thomas Worthington field hockey named girls Team of the Year by Dispatch readers

Thomas Worthington's field hockey team has been voted the high school girls Team of the Year for 2025-26 by Dispatch.com readers. This achievement follows their historic accomplishment of winning four consecutive championships, culminating in a 3-1 victory over Upper Arlington on their home field. Senior Sophia Borghese played a significant role, scoring two goals in the final, bringing her career total to a record 122 goals. In the voting, Thomas Worthington garnered 65.2% of the votes, surpassing the runner-up Danville softball team, which received 22.7%.
