Thorgan Hazard has officially returned to RC Lens, signing a two-year contract with the Ligue 1 club. The 33-year-old Belgium international began his career at Lens, making 16 appearances before moving on to several clubs, including Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund. Hazard opted not to renew his contract with RSC Anderlecht after a productive season that included 15 goals and 11 assists in 46 games. He joins Lens as they prepare for the upcoming UEFA Champions League season, becoming the club's second signing of the summer following Michael Cuisance.
