Three LSU players receive SEC weekly football honors after defeating Clemson

The Southeastern Conference recognized three LSU Tigers with weekly football honors following the team's 51-point victory over Clemson at Tiger Stadium on September 5. Quarterback Sam Leavitt shared Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors after recording 230 passing yards, 113 rushing yards, and three total touchdowns. Offensive lineman Jordan Seaton earned Offensive Lineman of the Week status for his role in an offense that generated a school-record 38 first downs. Defensive lineman Jordan Ross claimed Defensive Lineman of the Week after recording four tackles, one sack, and a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown in the first quarter. These individual performances were central to the Tigers' overall success in the season opener.
