Three UConn players selected for Team USA at FIBA World Cup

Paige Bueckers, Napheesa Collier, and Breanna Stewart will represent the United States at the 2026 FIBA World Cup in Berlin from September 4-13. Sue Bird, managing director for USA Basketball, praised the roster, highlighting the players' talent and the responsibility of wearing the USA jersey. Stewart is the only player on the team with Olympic experience from the 2016 Games, while Collier makes her World Cup debut. Bueckers also enters her first major international tournament. Team USA's schedule includes group play matches against China, Italy, and Czechia, starting on September 4.
