The Oklahoma City Thunder are evaluating players' performances as they prepare for the 2026-27 season. Brooks Barnhizer, on a two-way deal, recorded 1.7 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 0.6 assists over his limited playing time. Despite a solid performance in the G League, doubts linger about his fit in an NBA role. The Thunder hope another year of development can improve his shooting and overall impact. Barnhizer is expected to spend significant time with the OKC Blue, and only time will tell if he earns a standard contract in the future.
- •Barnhizer averaged 1.7 points and 2.0 rebounds for the Thunder.
- •He posted 18.2 points and 8.8 rebounds in the G League.
- •Barnhizer struggles with shooting consistency, particularly from beyond the arc.
- •The Thunder retain him for another year to assess his potential.
- •He can only participate in 50 regular-season games under his two-way contract.
