Tiffany Le and Emma Bunch share lead after Heritage Classic opening round

The Heritage Classic began Friday at Rolling Hills Country Club in Wichita, Kansas. Tiffany Le and Emma Bunch finished the first round tied for the lead at 5-under par. Several local players also participated in the opening action, with former Wichita State golfer Kate Tilma and K-State representative Noa van Beek both finishing the day at 3-over par. Rachel Stous sits one stroke back at 4-over, while Mackenzie Wilson ended her round at 7-over after recovering from a difficult front nine. The tournament continues with a second round on Friday, after which a cut will be determined. The event takes place at the historic birthplace of the Ladies Professional Golf Association.
