Tigers' Bailey Horn set to miss season following elbow surgery

Bailey Horn's season is officially over after undergoing ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction surgery on his left elbow in Dallas. The left-handed reliever, who did not pitch this season due to elbow inflammation, had his surgery performed by Dr. Keith Meister. Meanwhile, Tigers second baseman Gleyber Torres and pitchers Jackson Jobe and Burch Smith are slated for rehab outings. Torres will play with Low-A Lakeland, while Jobe's next start location is not yet confirmed. The Tigers are currently in a critical stretch as they seek to remain competitive in the playoff race.
