Tigers catcher prospect Luke Shliger hits two grand slams in playoff game

In Game 1 of the Eastern League Southwest Division Series on September 15, Detroit Tigers catcher prospect Luke Shliger had a remarkable performance for the Erie SeaWolves. He hit two grand slams, contributing to Erie's 18-6 victory over the Richmond Flying Squirrels. Shliger’s first slam came in the bottom of the first inning, giving Erie a 5-1 lead. His second grand slam occurred in the sixth inning as part of a five-run rally. Shliger, who joined Erie on August 11, has been instrumental in helping the SeaWolves advance within the playoffs. Erie's next game against Richmond is scheduled for September 17.
