The Detroit Tigers have claimed right-hander Yilber Diaz from the Arizona Diamondbacks off waivers. Diaz, 25, is set to report to Triple-A Toledo after being part of the Diamondbacks' system for three seasons. He struggled in his only outing this year, allowing seven runs in just two-thirds of an inning. Diaz is known for his fastball and slider, and he recorded a 4.50 ERA in 32 innings at Triple-A Reno this season, striking out 43 batters.
