Tigers fail to secure All-Star finalists for 2026 game

The Detroit Tigers will not have any players advance to the final round of All-Star voting for the 2026 MLB All-Star Game. Notable omissions include catcher Dillon Dingler and shortstop Kevin McGonigle, both of whom have shown strong performances this season. Dinlger leads catchers in FanGraphs WAR while McGonigle ranks second among shortstops. Outfielder Riley Greene also missed the cut for outfield finalists. Unlike previous years, when the Tigers had multiple All-Stars, their absence highlights a decline in the team's performance. Despite this, there remains a possibility for representation as players can be added as injury replacements or through votes by players and the Commissioner’s Office.
