Tigers receive trade advice on Tarik Skubal amid challenging season

With the MLB trade deadline approaching, a former general manager has urged the Detroit Tigers to consider trading pitcher Tarik Skubal. Currently on the injured list, Skubal has become a focal point amid the Tigers' disappointing 2026 campaign, where they sit 26-39 and 10.5 games back in the AL Central. Although the team remains within striking distance of the AL Wild Card, the GM argues that moving Skubal now could yield significant returns if he proves healthy before the deadline. The suggestion reflects a potential shift in the Tigers' strategy as they reassess their competitive outlook for the season.
