Tigers’ Tarik Skubal could start for Mud Hens on June 6

Tarik Skubal of the Detroit Tigers may make a rehabilitation start for the Toledo Mud Hens against the Iowa Cubs on June 6 in Des Moines. Skubal has been on the injured list since undergoing arthroscopic surgery in May. If he feels healthy following a simulated game scheduled for Monday, he could participate in the upcoming match. Skubal, a two-time All-Star and two-time Cy Young Award winner, has a career record of 57-39 with the Tigers. His appearance would come days after Justin Verlander is expected to pitch for the Mud Hens on June 4.
