Tigst Assefa leads results from 2026 Berlin Marathon on Sept. 27

At the 2026 Berlin Marathon held on September 27, Tigst Assefa of Ethiopia topped the women's elite race with a time of 2:11:04, marking the third-fastest time in history. In the men's elite category, Guye Adola, also from Ethiopia, finished first with a time of 2:02:50. The races included strong performances in the wheelchair categories, with Catherine Debrunner winning the women's wheelchair race in 1:35:01 and Marcel Hug taking the men's wheelchair race with a time of 1:23:28.
