Tim Whitman named Coach of the Year, Vandebilt stars earn honors

North DeSoto's Tim Whitman has been recognized as the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Softball Coach of the Year for Class 4A following his team's success, including a state title in 2026. Vandebilt Catholic's Corey Bourgeois and Lauren Baudoin have been awarded MVP honors in baseball and softball respectively. Bourgeois had a standout season, hitting.547 with four home runs, while Baudoin led her team with a 20-1 record and 172 strikeouts. St. Charles coach Wayne Stein was also honored as the Class 4A Baseball Coach of the Year after leading his teams to state titles. The LSWA All-State teams feature multiple athletes from North DeSoto and Vandebilt Catholic, highlighting their achievements this season.
