Tina Charles launches 78 Brewing Co. beer honoring UConn legacy

Tina Charles, former UConn star and retired WNBA player, has established 78 Brewing Co., launching her debut beer, 78-0 Hazy IPA, at East Rock Brewing in New Haven, Conn. The beer, named to commemorate UConn's undefeated streak during Charles’ time, will benefit her teammates from 2008-10 and contribute to the UConn Foundation. The launch event featured head coach Geno Auriemma celebrating Charles' entrepreneurial venture. A second beer named Sunset IPA is planned to honor the Connecticut Sun, her former team, expecting to relocate to Houston after this season.
