Titans sign safety Terrell Burgess to active roster from Saints

The Tennessee Titans signed veteran safety Terrell Burgess to their 53-man active roster on September 1. The move follows the New Orleans Saints' decision to release Burgess on August 31 as part of their final roster cuts. Burgess had spent the 2025 season with New Orleans and participated in training camp this year while competing for a defensive back spot. His signing with the Titans ends the possibility of a return to the New Orleans practice squad. The 27-year-old safety previously played for the Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants, and Washington Commanders after being selected in the 2020 NFL Draft. By joining Tennessee, Burgess secures an immediate position on an active NFL roster for the regular season.
