TJ Baer earns FCBL Defensive Player of the Year honors

TJ Baer, a former Joel Barlow standout and current Marist student, has been awarded the FCBL Defensive Player of the Year for his performance with the Norwich Sea Unicorns in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. Over the course of 43 games, Baer started 42, registering seven assists and only two errors in 93 chances. He played multiple outfield positions, showing strong defensive skills and a notable game on July 24 where he recorded two assists in a victory over the Nashua Silver Knights. Offensively, he batted.318 with an on-base percentage of.421 and successfully stole 19 bases. Baer will enter his sophomore year at Marist College.
