- 1:00 AMCageside Seats — TNA gets in on the streaming wars
"With AEW expanding their myAEW streaming service to include a variety of indie promotions (such as MLP, 1FW, Produce, and more), TNA is getting in on the streaming wars, so to speak, with a new addition to TNA+. The TNA streaming service had been solely for their own product. That changes now with the addition of OVW. TNA announced that OVW’s Independence Rage event will air live on TNA+ on Sunday, July 19. It is free to watch by signing in to an account on TNA+. BREAKING: @ovwrestling's Independence Rage event THIS SUNDAY will air LIVE and FREE on TNA+! Create an account for free and watch this Sunday HERE: https://t.co/nf2H8yFz87 pic.twitter.com/38IATmHNcU — TNA Wrestling (@ThisIsTNA) July 16, 2026 This comes on the recent rumor that TNA is exploring OVW as a developmental territory. According to PW Insider, TNA and Ohio Valley Wrestling are working on a deal that would turn OVW into “essentially a developmental system for TNA.” It’s expected that the deal will be signed “very soon.” TNA President Carlos Silva has apparently been in attendance at several recent OVW shows, but wasn’t there for its 1400th episode. If that developmental system rumor comes true, then this is a smart move by TNA to showcase OVW wrestlers who could potentially move up to their own roster. It gives the die-hard TNA fans a chance to see the ‘stars’ before they become stars. OVW is managed by Al Snow. The Independence Rage event emanates from Hotpoint Davis Arena in Louisville, Kentucky. The advertised lineup so far includes: OVW Heavyweight Championship: Jay DeNiro (c) vs. Dustin Jackson OVW United States Championship: Tony Evans (c) vs. Kid Colossus OVW Media Championship: Drew Hernandez (c) vs. Stephen Steel OVW Rush Division Championship: JJ Lawson (c) vs. Brendan Balling in ladder match TW3 vs. Icon Lee in strap match Kal Herro vs. Kevin “Se7en” Thorn OVW Independence Rage airs live Sunday at 6 pm ET on TNA+.
