"TNA previously announced a bunch of matches for the Slammiversary PPV on June 28, but there weren’t any wrestlers attached to those matches. Now, we know the first two competitors for Ultimate X. TNA revealed that Cedric Alexander and Leon Slater will compete in the high-risk, high-reward match. .@CedricAlexander and @LEONSLATER_ are confirmed as the first two entrants in Ultimate X for the X-Division Title at #TNASlammiversary LIVE on PPV and TNA+ on June 28 from the Agganis Arena in Boston. Slater was on the verge of breaking the record for longest run with that title before Alexander won the gold. That’s why Slater makes sense as well. Plus, both are extremely athletic with a great wow factor for this type of match. Looking at the TNA roster to figure out the rest of the competitors, Fabian Aichner seems like a lock given his current path to clash with Alexander. KC Navarro, BDE, and Ricky Sosa would fit as high-flying young guns. Elijah would bring star power and crowd engagement. Ultimate X sometimes has a big man that doesn’t fit the mold. I’m looking at AJ Francis as a possibility. Former world champions Frankie Kazarian and Steve Maclin could be interested as a means to an end by cashing in Option C for a world title shot. Perhaps sprinkle in talent from NXT. In addition to Ultimate X, Slammiversary will also include every championship being defended and a ladder match for the event from Boston, MA.
