Todd Monken declines to review past Deshaun Watson game film

Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken stated on Tuesday that he has not reviewed any game tape of quarterback Deshaun Watson from his previous appearances with the team. Monken explained that he prefers to assess players based on current observations rather than past performance under different coaching staffs and systems. He intends to approach the season with the expectation that every player on the roster is an elite talent. Watson, who has struggled since joining the organization, was named the starting quarterback for the regular season despite competition during the preseason.
