Todd Monken says Myles Garrett trade not assured in Cleveland

As speculation grows about a potential trade of Myles Garrett, Browns head coach Todd Monken confirmed he wasn't assured Garrett would remain with the team upon his hiring in January. Monken stated he has not yet spoken with Garrett, who traditionally does not attend offseason programs. Garrett, a two-time AP defensive player of the year, set a single-season sack record last year. He had requested a trade during the 2025 offseason before re-signing with the Browns on a significant contract. The team’s modified contract language allows for a trade, fueling ongoing speculation regarding his future.
