Toledo football hires Mike Jacobs as new head coach

Mike Jacobs has been appointed as the new head coach for Toledo football, marking a significant leadership change following Jason Candle’s departure to UConn. Jacobs, previously at Mercer, where he compiled a 20-6 record, aims to maintain Toledo’s status as a top Mid-American Conference program. His inaugural coaching staff includes Cris Reisert as offensive coordinator and Jahmal Brown as defensive coordinator, both bringing valuable experience to the team. The Rockets expect immediate success under Jacobs, who has a notable record of winning in previous coaching positions.
