Tom Izzo values tough practices for Michigan State basketball team

Michigan State basketball, under head coach Tom Izzo, is engaged in rigorous practices in preparation for its upcoming season. Following an exhibition game against Incarnate Word, the team is set for an intrasquad scrimmage on October 9, aimed at enhancing competition among players. Izzo notes that practices can get 'ugly' due to the intensity, as both the first and second teams challenge each other effectively. With a deep roster, including newcomers, Izzo emphasizes the importance of correcting mistakes to improve overall performance. The team is focused on setting a solid foundation ahead of challenging exhibition games against Connecticut and Marquette later in October.
