Tomas Cvancara has joined the Czech top-flight club Hradec Kralove on a season-long loan deal. The move follows his return to Borussia Monchengladbach earlier this summer after a loan spell at Celtic during the second half of the previous season. During his time at Parkhead, the striker struggled to secure a regular place in the starting lineup and recorded two goals, though he did convert a penalty in a Scottish Cup shootout against Rangers. He failed to make an appearance for his parent club, Borussia Monchengladbach, since returning to Germany. Hradec Kralove sporting director Petr Pojezny indicated the team expects the forward to provide quality and experience from higher-level competition. Cvancara has begun training with his new teammates and expressed his intent to help the club achieve success following his return to Czech football.
