Toms River North scores late field goal to defeat Northern Highlands 17-14

Toms River North completed a comeback to defeat Northern Highlands 17-14 at the Grasso Classic on August 28. Northern Highlands led 14-0 at halftime, aided by a touchdown run from Tucker Kanning and a touchdown catch by Doyle Flatt. Toms River North responded in the second half with a one-yard touchdown run from Garrison Cole and an 86-yard touchdown run from Lucas Elias. With 18 seconds left, Carter Tamaro kicked a 25-yard field goal to secure the victory. Toms River North will host Toms River East on September 3, while Northern Highlands travels to Wayne Hills on September 4.
