Tony Delk is among three players in the history of the Charlotte Hornets to wear the jersey number 00. Selected as the 16th overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft out of the University of Kentucky, Delk played for the franchise for parts of two seasons. During his 1996 rookie campaign, he averaged 5.1 points and 1.6 rebounds over 14.2 minutes per game. Early in his sophomore season, the Hornets traded Delk to the Golden State Warriors in a package that included Muggsy Bogues. The trade brought B.J. Armstrong to Charlotte. Delk continued his 10-year professional career with multiple teams, recording his highest scoring average with the Phoenix Suns during the 2000-01 season.
