Torino has informed Giovanni Simeone that he will not be sold to River Plate. The striker has expressed a desire to return to Argentina, where he began his career, but the club is keen to retain him. Simeone, who turns 31 next month, recently met with Torino President Urbano Cairo to discuss his future. After joining Torino from Napoli last summer, he has a contract lasting until June 2028, with an option to extend for another year. This season, he has scored 11 goals and provided two assists in 32 Serie A appearances.
