Torino rejects Celtic bid for midfielder Gvidas Gineitis

Torino has rejected a transfer offer from Celtic for Lithuanian midfielder Gvidas Gineitis, according to reports. The Italian Serie A club deemed the bid significantly lower than its valuation of the 22-year-old, which is reportedly set at approximately £9 million. Celtic manager Martin O’Neill had identified the player as a primary target to reinforce the midfield, noting his physical attributes and energy. Despite the setback, the club is reportedly near completion on separate deals for Dutch midfielder Joel van den Berg from PSV and Danish player Oliver Sorensen on a loan from Parma. Torino maintains that the interest in Gineitis is independent of their own internal roster moves, including the potential arrival of Mandragora.
