Toronto Blue Jays promote pitching prospect Jared Spencer to Single-A Dunedin

The Toronto Blue Jays promoted 23-year-old left-handed pitcher Jared Spencer to their Single-A affiliate in Dunedin. The move occurred during the team's current series against the Kansas City Royals. Toronto enters the next phase of its schedule with a 72-71 record following a 4-3 victory over the Royals on Saturday, which extended their winning streak to four games. Spencer, a 6-foot-3 prospect, signed a minor league contract with the organization in July 2025 and previously pitched for the FCL Blue Jays. Before joining the minor leagues, he played for the Texas Longhorns, where he recorded a 3.27 ERA and 66 strikeouts over 10 appearances. He will now join the Dunedin roster for the final stretch of the season.
