Toronto Blue Jays release three players during series against Red Sox

The Toronto Blue Jays are concluding their series against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Sunday. They secured a 6-0 victory on Saturday, tying the series at one game each before the final matchup. Ahead of the game, the Blue Jays announced the release of three players from their organization, two of whom are from the Double-A roster: outfielder Jackson Hornung and catcher Patrick Winkel. The team also released right fielder Je’Von Ward from their Triple-A affiliate, the Buffalo Bisons.
