Toronto FC acquired winger Alejandro Piedrahita on loan from Bulgarian top-division club CSKA Sofia on Friday. The 24-year-old Colombian joins the MLS roster through the 2027 MLS Sprint Season. General manager Jason Hernandez characterized Piedrahita as an aggressive, direct attacker intended to provide a dynamic transition threat for the remainder of the 2026 season. Piedrahita previously tallied 10 goals and three assists in 110 matches with Deportivo Pereira, where he contributed to a 2022 Colombian league title. During his tenure with CSKA Sofia, the winger scored two goals in 21 appearances and helped the club secure the 2025-26 Bulgarian Cup. His career also includes loan spells at Argentine clubs Banfield and Gimnasia.
