Toronto FC has transferred homegrown forward Deandre Kerr to AVS Futebol SAD, a second-division club in Portugal. The 23-year-old exits the MLS club after spending his entire professional career there following his time in the team's academy. During his tenure, Kerr recorded 21 goals and three assists across 114 appearances in all competitions since his 2022 debut. Toronto FC general manager Jason Hernandez confirmed the move on Friday, noting the club has retained a sell-on percentage as part of the agreement. A former Canadian youth international, Kerr represented his country at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil. He now joins the Portuguese side as he begins the next chapter of his career.
