Tottenham agrees record £100m deal for Newcastle's Tonali

Tottenham Hotspur has finalized a club-record £100m transfer for midfielder Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United. The deal involves an upfront payment of £92.5m, with an additional £7.5m in achievable add-ons. Tonali, who is set to earn over £275,000 per week, was eager to work with Spurs' manager Roberto De Zerbi. This signing reflects a significant change in Tottenham's transfer strategy after consecutive 17th place finishes in the Premier League. Coinciding with this move, Spurs also reached an agreement to sign Mateus Fernandes from West Ham for £85m and sold defender Luka Vuskovic to Brighton for £50m.
