Tottenham ends pursuit of Joao Palhinha after Munich decision

Tottenham Hotspur has confirmed that they will not proceed with a permanent deal for Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich during this summer's transfer window. After securing Palhinha on loan last season, Spurs had the option to buy the midfielder for £25.93m but have chosen to explore other targets instead. Bayern is seeking immediate funds and not open to further loan deals for Palhinha, who has also drawn interest from Sporting Lisbon and other clubs. Tottenham spent around £185m this summer on new additions, which contributed to their decision to halt the Palhinha deal.
