Tottenham Hotspur pursue striker Vangelis Pavlidis amid competition

Tottenham Hotspur are intensifying their efforts to sign striker Vangelis Pavlidis from Benfica, who has scored 14 goals in 13 appearances this season. The interest is partly spurred by competition from Barcelona and other clubs like Aston Villa and Fulham. A €100m release clause complicates the potential transfer, as Benfica is reluctant to sell their top scorer mid-season. Tottenham is prioritizing a striker for January, and will need to evaluate their investment options against the interest from Barcelona and other leading clubs.
