Tottenham joins race for Mateus Fernandes amid Manchester United interest

Summary

Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly entering the competition to sign West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes. Manchester United has expressed interest but faces challenges, as West Ham is demanding £80 million despite their relegation. Both clubs are looking to strengthen their midfield, with Spurs' new head coach Roberto De Zerbi advocating for Fernandes. United has already secured Ederson from Atalanta, complicating their attempts to sign Fernandes, who is also attracting interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. A decisive move from Spurs could significantly affect the transfer this summer.
