Tottenham secures loan move for Chelsea midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk

Tottenham finalized a deal to acquire Mykhailo Mudryk on loan from Chelsea during the final days of the transfer window. The 25-year-old Ukraine international is the first player to move directly between the two London clubs in 17 years. While Leeds United had pursued the attacker for two weeks, Chelsea opted for a deal with Tottenham that included an option for a £75 million permanent transfer. Tottenham shifted focus to Mudryk after failed pursuits of Cody Gakpo and Iliman Ndiaye, the latter of whom joined Manchester City. Following the move, Mudryk made his first competitive appearance in over 21 months as a substitute for Roberto de Zerbi in a match against Nottingham Forest. Leeds United responded to the missed signing by securing a loan deal for Jean-Matteo Bahoya from Eintracht Frankfurt.
