Tottenham signs Marcos Senesi from Bournemouth as squad rebuild continues

Summary

Tottenham Hotspur has signed centre-back Marcos Senesi on a free transfer after his contract with Bournemouth expired. Senesi, who made 128 appearances for Bournemouth since joining in 2022, expressed excitement over joining Spurs and contributing to manager Roberto De Zerbi's squad overhaul. This addition follows the recent signing of left-back Andy Robertson and comes as part of a strategic defensive investment after Tottenham conceded 122 goals in the last two Premier League seasons. As De Zerbi seeks improvement after a relegation battle, the club is renewing its focus on defensive stability. Ben Davies has also signed a new 12-month deal to continue with the club, while Yves Bissouma is set to leave when his contract expires on June 30.
