Toulouse sign midfielder Mathis Amougou on loan from Strasbourg

Toulouse FC have completed the signing of 20-year-old midfielder Mathis Amougou on a loan deal from fellow Ligue 1 side Strasbourg. The move follows Amougou's time at Strasbourg, where he struggled to secure regular playing minutes despite being under contract with the club until 2030. Amougou previously joined Chelsea from Saint-Etienne in a transfer reportedly worth €15m before moving to the BlueCo-owned Strasbourg last summer. Toulouse currently seeks to bolster its midfield options after an winless start to the Ligue 1 campaign, having recorded a loss against Lyon and a draw against Brest. The midfielder will wear the number 18 jersey for his new side. He is eligible to make his debut for Toulouse in their upcoming home match against Lille this Thursday.
