Tour of Britain cycling stages draw thousands of visitors to regional towns

The men's Tour of Britain cycling race attracted approximately 10,000 visitors to Lincoln for the opening stage on Wednesday. Following the start in Lincoln, the race proceeded to Boston for stage two on Thursday and moved through Hull and East Yorkshire for stage three on Friday. Riders traveled through towns including Bilton, Preston, Hedon, Withernsea, Mappleton, Hornsea, Skipsea, Langtoft, and Driffield before reaching the stage finish in Beverley. Local officials in Withernsea reported a positive economic impact on businesses during the event.
